Everything is in full bloom. Gardens are being prepared. Flowers are planted. Everything looks so pretty, I love it. I hate it too. Not because of allergies, the logical assumption, but because of hot flashes.
As the days get warmer but not everyday, and the evenings are cool but not cold, my body just reacts with hot flashes when in doubt. I remember, barely, when my only discomfort this time of year was taking off or putting on a layer. I still have that problem but it is intensified by hot flashes!
Here are my Top 10 Tips to get through the Spring Season as your body regulates to the change in temperatures:
Sleeveless tops with a lightweight top or jacket
Open toe shoes or sandals
Short Sleeve tops
Carry an umbrella instead of a raincoat
Lightweight or wicking fabrics for tops
Water resistant make-up
Summer is coming and I find I can cope better with my hot flashes because the temperature is more consistent. How about you? Are you a change of season flasher? Do you have more tips to stay cool?
